AIROSD Conquers -53°C Mohe Polar Cold

2025-12-15

Extreme cold is the ultimate test of heating performance for any modern air source heat pump.
Mohe, located at 53°N on the crown of China’s map, is known as the nation’s Cold Pole. Here, boiling water freezes in mid-air, mobile phones shut down within minutes, and even steel contracts under the extreme conditions. While ordinary units fail, AIROSD sent its flagship ONENG P7 air source heat pump system into this brutal environment. Through a global live broadcast, AIROSD demonstrated the extreme-cold heating strength of its advanced air source heat pump, proving the true capabilities of a new-generation heating and cooling heat pump.

Warm Homes Worldwide: A 6-Month Extreme Cold Endurance Test Begins

Mohe’s winter average is –26.1°C, with a record low of –53°C. Its heating season spans eight months, making it a natural global testing base for any air source heat pump, heating and cooling heat pump, hot water heat pump, or even ground source heat pump intended for severe climates. Any heating product that performs reliably here can easily meet global cold-region standards.

To safeguard household warmth and verify product reliability, AIROSD partnered with the China Academy of Building Research (CABR) to launch a six-month endurance test for the ONENG P7 air source heat pump at the Mohe Extreme Cold Empirical Base. This is not AIROSD’s first polar challenge. In January 2023, an AIROSD heating and cooling heat pump maintained stable heating for a military base in –39.4°C, proving the robustness of its air source heat pump platform in real-world conditions.

The current test, fully monitored by CABR with CMA and CNAS credentials, runs from November 2025 to May 2026. During this period, the ONENG P7 air source heat pump will face ultra-low temperatures, blizzards, and high-humidity frost. CABR provides scientific, credible data demonstrating the P7’s reliability as both a heating and cooling heat pump and a hot water heat pump even under extreme environments.

Global Spotlight: Live Broadcast Showcases Hardcore Heating in Deep Freeze

To date, the ONENG P7 air source heat pump has been operating in Mohe for nearly a month, delivering stable results that redefine extreme-cold heating. On December 2, 2025, during a severe cold wave at –36.9°C and 60% humidity, the heating and cooling heat pump system maintained steady output with zero degradation.

During the December 4 live broadcast, staff performed an “extreme challenge”: pouring water directly onto the evaporator of the air source heat pump at –20°C and 70% humidity. A typical air source heat pump would ice up and shut down, but the ONENG P7 used advanced defrost algorithms to instantly vaporize the water while maintaining stable performance. The rising steam formed a dramatic “polar white smoke,” offering global viewers direct proof of AIROSD’s extreme-cold heating superiority.

Patent-Driven Strength: A Complete Extreme Cold Defense System

AIROSD’s technological accumulation in air source heat pump and heating and cooling heat pump development forms the foundation of the ONENG P7’s strength. The unit integrates multiple core patents, creating a comprehensive extreme-cold protection system used across its air source heat pump, hot water heat pump, and ground source heat pump product lines:

• AI Intelligent Control System (Patent ZL202410516066.X)

Real-time sensing optimizes all air source heat pump operations to ensure stability in low temperatures.

• Rapid-Kill Defrost Technology (Patent ZL202022227017.4)

Clears frost quickly to maintain continuous heating in any heating and cooling heat pump setup.

• Anti-Secondary Long-Ice Technology (Patent ZL201620001148.1)

Prevents re-freezing during high-humidity conditions.

• Three-Stage Electronic Anti-Freeze System

Ensures triple protection across air source heat pump, hot water heat pump, and even ground source heat pump systems.
